The first step of subject matter based patent analysis for any patent research project is removing irrelevant references which we refer to as “patent filtering”. In this exercise, we have selected a sample from the results displayed by the automated tool after querying it for internet connected vehicles. Our subject matter experts then reviewed those results to filter out irrelevant references. This analysis is used to show the difference between analysis conducted by the subject matter experts Vs the results displayed by the automated tools.
Tool displayed around “184898”hits when searched for internet connected vehicle in Title, Abstract & Claim between 1997 to 2020.
The table shows the comparison of subject matter expert based analysis Vs the results displayed by the automated tools for top 30 assignees (current owner)
